Abstract

This paper presents a systematic comparative analysis of women's empowerment across four distinct geopolitical entities: India, the United States, the European Union, and China. It examines key dimensions including political representation, economic participation, educational attainment, health, and legal frameworks through a synthesized analysis of global indices, national datasets, and scholarly literature. The study utilizes comparative data tables and charts to visualize disparities and progress. Findings reveal that while the US and EU lead in institutional support and overall outcomes, they face challenges related to leadership ceilings and work-life balance. China demonstrates state-driven economic inclusion with constrained social agency, and India exhibits significant legislative progress hampered by deep socio-cultural and implementation gaps. The paper concludes that empowerment pathways are context-dependent and advocates for integrated policies that address structural, economic, and normative barriers simultaneously.
